Quick overview
Trezor is a purpose‑built hardware wallet that keeps your private keys offline and under your control. Use this page to prepare, set up, and verify your device so you can begin sending, receiving and managing crypto securely.
Get started in 6 easy steps
- Unbox & inspect: Ensure the packaging is intact and tamper seals (if present) are unbroken.
- Download Trezor Suite: Click Download Trezor Suite and install on your desktop (Windows / macOS / Linux) or use the web app when instructed.
- Connect your device: Use the included USB cable to connect your Trezor to the computer.
- Create a new wallet: Follow the on‑screen setup in Trezor Suite. Choose a strong device PIN when prompted.
- Write down your recovery seed: Use the provided recovery card to write down the 12/24‑word seed exactly. Store it offline and never photograph or store digitally.
- Verify & finish: Trezor will ask you to confirm a few words from your seed. Verify, finalize setup, and add accounts.
Tip: Never share your recovery seed — Trezor support will never ask for it.
